Core3 can provide individualized, goal-focused, and cost-effective services and interventions on-site at many group homes and day programs within our service area. Engaging individual and group programs can be tailored to the needs of the clients and program. 30, 45 and 60 minute individual sessions are available to address goals/objectives recommended from the music therapy assessment. 60-minute group sessions are available for individuals with similar therapeutic goals/objectives recommended from the music therapy assessment.
Adaptive Music Lessons:
Even though music therapy employs music to address non-musical goals, adaptive lessons can help individuals with special needs acquire musical skills (such as learning how to play a musical instrument). Music therapists are uniquely suited to work with individuals who may not be well-suited for traditional music lessons; who need more support to successfully learn how to play a musical instrument. The experience gives individuals with special needs the opportunity to express themselves and succeed at music making. Adaptive music lessons are offered for 45 and 60-minute sessions. Instruction is tailored to the individual’s learning style, needs, functioning level and strengths. Lessons are offered for the following instruments: piano, guitar, voice, percussion, clarinet and saxophone.
